Treatment of MRSA

Staph infections

CA-MRSA is usually treated with one of the following.

1) Sulfa medication such as sulfamethoxazole

2) ciprofloxin

3) doxycycline

4) clindamycin

Additionally, if an abscess exists, then incision and drainage is usually necessary. Often, your health care provider will pack the wound with iodine gauze, several times over the course of a week.
